What do we get up to?
Tasks Tasks happen every Sunday during term time. We head out to different locations in the countryside surrounding Southampton and help local nature reserves out. Tree felling, coppicing, planting, digging, fighting your way through brambles, and making huge fires- sometimes we bake spuds in the fire too! Residential trips (normally Friday to Sunday, once or twice a term) are a bit farther afield and can lead us anywhere from Brownsea Island, Ireland and Exmoor to the Isle of Wight! Tasks are free, with free hot drinks and unstoppable waves of biscuits- we'll reimburse most travel costs too. Residentials normally cost around £20 to cover food, transport, and accommodation costs. "First time today and I have enjoyed meeting the people and getting my hands dirty. Thanks." |
"Lovely mix of people all working together to get the jobs done. Friendly committee definitely make me want to do conservation every week." Events and Socials
Besides the mud and biscuits we have lots of socials. Expect anything from comedy nights to pizza-making! To subscribe to the mailing list where all the fun begins
